The Grand County Moffat Railroad Museum is hosting its 9th annual Model Railroad Christmas Display. It is promised to be the largest model train track construction built in Grand County, with 700 square feet and five trains running. The event is spear-headed by Dave Naples, president of the Grand County model railroad club and the director of the “Moffat Road” Railroad Museum.

“This is huge. We believe it is the biggest temporary Christmas model train display in the state. It is bigger and better than it has ever been in all of its eight years. It even includes a 100 square foot mountain with an operating ski lift,” said Naples. It takes over 500 volunteer hours over five weeks to see it come to fruition. The Grand Opening of the Model Railroad Display will be this Friday, November 25 at 11 a.m. next to the Subway in Granby in the City Market Marketplace. The event if free, but donations are gladly accepted to help offset costs.
