Eleanore T. Forster

Eleanore T. Forster went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2017 at the age of 94. She was born on July 11, 1922 in Seward, NE, the daughter of Stanley and Anna Marie (Komanda) Horacek. Eleanore graduated high school in Gypsom, CO. She was united in marriage to Walter B. Forster in 1945.

They lived on the Sheephorn in Eagle County, CO where Eleanore was a ranch wife and later retired to Kremmling, CO then to Hotchkiss, CO. Eleanore was very active as a Democratic Committee Woman and with the Hotchkiss Senior Center, the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She is survived by her son Bruce Forster of Hotchkiss, and daughter Michelle “Shelly” (Barry) Black of El Dorado; grandchildren Charlene (Cory) Miller, and Alan (Sandy) Black, great grandchildren (her bouncing Betty’s) Cally and Cami Miller and Tayle and Taevyn Black; and extended grandchildren Mende, Rich, Steve and their families. She is also survived by many special caretakers.

Eleanore is preceded in death by her parents and husband, along with her brother Stanley and sisters Anne Marie, Irene and Marcella.

Her family gathered with friends on Thursday, January 12 from 5-7 p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, KS, with a short memorial service at 5:30 p.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial was held on January 14, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Kremmling, CO.
