Felony No-bond suspect Arrested

On April 21, 2016 members of the US Marshal’s office contacted the Granby Police Department in reference to a possible homicide suspect from Wisconsin who was staying in the Town of Granby in the 100 Block of Topaz. It was later confirmed that the suspect, identified as Kyle Engen, Age 30, was also wanted on a no-bond probation violation warrant out of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Law enforcement also had information that Engen was armed.

Member of the Middle Park Emergency Response Team (which are comprised of law enforcement personnel from the Granby Police Department, Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Fraser Winter Park Police Department, Kremmling Police Department and Grand County EMS developed a plan and took the suspect into custody while he was outside of the home sitting in a motor vehicle. No one was injured during the arrest.

Engen was transported to the Grand County Jail pending extradition proceedings through the State of Wisconsin.
