Tom Leatherwood is the new GrandCounty Community Development Director.
The current director, Bill Gray willbe leaving that position on Aug. 10. He is working with Leatherwood in a training capacity until then.
Leatherwood is excited to bring his experience to Grand County.
“I am very happy to be here. I have worked in New Mexico for a quarter of century in small towns and rural areas.
I’ve done multiple comprehensive plans, economic development plans and downtown revitalization plans. I have focused my energy on service to rural communities.
It was time for a move and (I am) very grateful to be here.”
