Born and raised in Michigan, Patty Shannon recently moved to Denver to be closer to family. Now she divides her time between making jewelry and living in Denver or in the mountains helping at The Latigo Dude Ranch.

She started making jewelry to deal with an allergy to base metals. She wanted to make things that worked for her. She fell in love with the craft, and over twenty years later she is still in the business. Her pieces use handmade glass beads and polymer from other artisans, crystals, pearls, gemstones, and precious metals. Patty can specialize in prom bling, bridal jewelry, and mother-of-the-bride pieces.

Her jewelry is on display at The Latigo Dude Ranch and in Gore Range Artisan Gallery, which is at 110 East Park Ave.
