On October 29th, 2016 the Kremmling Police Department along with members of the Grand County Sheriff’s Department responded to and investigated a stolen vehicle report from Kremmling. It is believed the vehicle was stolen either late Friday the 28th or early Saturday the 29th from in front of a residence on 21st Street in Kremmling. That stolen vehicle was recovered a short time later, apparently undamaged, north of Kremmling on a 4-wheel drive trail. The vehicle was sealed and towed to the Grand County Sheriff’s Department to be processed for additional evidence.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, one adult male and one adult female have been taken into custody and booked into the Grand County Jail on various charges pertaining to this case. Numerous items have been recovered that have been identified by the owner of the stolen vehicle along with other items that were taken from other unlocked vehicles parked on 20th and 21st Streets during the same incident. Some of the recovered items were reported missing to the Kremmling Police Department and have been identified while others are yet to be reported to the Police.

This case remains open and additional warrants are in the process as additional evidence is recovered.

The Kremmling Police Department wishes to remind all vehicle owners to remove valuables from vehicles and lock them.
