Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

I hope that all of you will be spending Thanksgiving doing what you love. For most of us that means feasting and football, with family and friends. I am super excited to be headed to Las Vegas to share Thanksgiving with my children, friends, and family that live there. I’m also looking forward to weather in the high 70’s although I won’t even know what to pack!

Just a reminder that the Chamber does sell Christmas Tree Permits and Fuel Wood permits. It seems that picking out and cutting down a tree is a family tradition upheld by many. Tom will be working on Friday from 9 – 4 and Saturday from 10 – 2.

There are so many great events around the Holidays. It’s also the perfect time to count your blessings and share with others less fortunate. “Tis better to give than receive.”

With that in mind, Grand Lake Plumbing and Heating is sponsoring a “Fill the Tub with Love” drive. Toys, coats, and food, are being collected at the Chamber. All donations go to Mountain Family Center.

There is also West Grand Wishes, which was started by our local police officer Todd Willson. You can make donations of cash to Bank of the West, or sponsor a child by selecting an ornament from a tree at the Kremmling Mercantile, Family Dollar Store, Ghostwood Interiors, Grand Mountain Bank, or Bank of the West. All donations need to be collected by December 12th for distribution on December 15th.

Don’t forget to “SHOP SMALL” on Saturday, November 25th! Support our local businesses that put their heart and soul into serving our community. Without them, we’d have to drive to Summit or Granby for everything!

Not sure what to get that “hard to buy for” person on your Christmas list? How about an awesome dining experience at Latigo Ranch! Latigo Ranch is hosting a Dinner Club once a month during the winter season. You can even add a cabin for only $100 for the night! Latigo Ranch also offers FREE usage to locals of more than 30 miles of groomed trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Don’t have equipment? They’ve got you covered! Call 970-724-9008 for pricing and reservations!
