The Democratic and Republican parties held their precinct caucuses on Tuesday, March 6 to elect delegates for the County Assembly.
The Republican Assembly will be on Sunday, March 11 at 1 p.m. at the Middle Park High School in Granby. The Democratic Assembly will be Tuesday, March 20 from 7-9 p.m. at the Middle Park High School.
In the Republican party, those who have filed with the Secretary of State are: Kristen Manguso – District 3 Commissioner, Sara Rosene – Grand County Clerk and Recorder, Christina Whitmer – Grand County Treasurer, Warren Ward – County Surveyor, Tom Weydert – County Assessor, Brenda Bock – Grand County Coroner, and Brett Schroetlin – Grand County Sheriff.
Tom Cary also filed with the Secretary of State for Grand County Surveyor, but stated that he would not pursue the office.
At this time, all the county elected officials are running unopposed, but other candidates can declare at the Assembly. For the Democratic Party, no candidates have yet declared their intentions to run.
