The popular Middle Park Fair and Rodeo Demolition Derby is scheduled to rock the town of Kremmling on Saturday, August 17 at the Middle Park Fairgrounds located in Kremmling.
The event brings a unique combination of action and entertainment, starting with a musical concert at 6 p.m., a full night of exciting demolition derby action in the main arena and culminating with a fireworks display to celebrate the evening.
Various sponsors are providing $25,000 in a guaranteed added purse. It is believed to be one of the largest purses offered in the world of demolition derbies. That purse is a key attraction for the drivers that have truly helped established this event as one of the most popular.
The always entertaining theme car contest has been scheduled as well as the Bouncing Ball Bonanza sponsored by the Kremmling Preschool.
The race portion of the event is being conducted by Get Smashed, which is owned and operated by former Kremmling residents and popular demolition derby promoters, Will and Becca Jones. The Middle Park Fair Board of Directors hired the Jones to conduct the event, with a full appreciation for their history of conducting safe and exciting events. This year a mini van class has been added to the line-up of derby classes along with the compact, limited, fully welded and the popular truck division.
The music is being provided by the Country Music Project and the half-time show will be the Candela Collective Perfomance Troupe and the finale for the evening will be the Grand Fireworks Display.
There will be several food vendors on site and a beer garden. Pre-sale admission prices to the event this year are $17/person and pit passes are $27 per person. The day of the event prices will be $20/person and $30 for a pit pass.
