On Thursday, December 21st Middle Park Medical Center’s Dr. Mark Paulsen was recognized for his 10 years of service as Grand Lake Fire’s Medical Director. Mike Long, Grand Lake Fire Chief, accompanied by Grand Lake Fire personnel and Middle Park Medical Center staff, presented Dr. Paulsen with a Certificate of Appreciation for ten years of lasting contribution and support as Medical Director.
In Long’s words, “Dr. Paulsen has been a huge asset in supporting Grand Lake Fire’s EMS program over the past ten years as our Medical Director. Mark regularly clears his schedule to attend our continuing education sessions at the firehouse and reviews all our medical response run sheets for quality and appropriateness of medical care. He truly has a gift for sharing his knowledge and experience at a level that we as firefighters and emergency responders can understand. In short, his counseling and guidance and leadership have all brought Grand Lake Fire’s delivery of pre-hospital emergency medical care to a professional level the community of Grand Lake can be very proud of.”
