Country singer, Easton Corbin, will be headlining the Middle Park Fair & Rodeo on August 10.

Fairboard members Dakota Docheff and Tara Sharp announced the headlining news at the Chamber Banquet on March 30. Sharp who also serves as the Chamber Director said the Fairboard and Chamber are hosting Easton Corbin together. After working on securing Easton Corbin as their headlining performer for nearly six months, Sharp was elated the contract was finalized last week in time to make the announcement at the Chamber banquet.
“I am blessed to get to incorporate my passion of concert-going into my job,” said Sharp.

Easton Corbin, who also performed in Winter Park last summer, is best known for his signature hits – “A Little More Country Than That,” “Roll With It,” “Lovin’ You Is Fun” and “Baby Be My Love Song” from his No. 1 debuting album About To Get Real.

In addition, his emotional “Are You With Me” was the most added song on the radio the day it was released. His most recent single “A Girl Like You” landed at No. 3 on the country singles chart.

Tickets for the Easton Corbin begin at $25 and will be available at www. middleparkfairandrodeo.com on April 30. The concert will be in front of the grandstands and will offer tiered seating. The gate for concert goers will open at 6p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. The concert follows a busy day at the fair with kids games, horse races, ranch rodeo, Commissioners Cookie Jar Contest, Mayors Pie Contest, the Rosie O’Hotto Salsa Showdown, and the Pioneer and Citizens of the Year Luncheon. The honorees for Pioneer and Citizen of the Year will be announced in the upcoming fairbook.

The midway entertainment this year will be revved up throughout the weekend with a ropes course available to all ages.

The Middle Park Fair & Rodeo will be hosting a new event this year, the Super Horse Contest. This event will take the place of the Ranch Horse Versatility on Friday, August 9 and will require a horse and its rider to compete in five categories – heading, heeling, break-away, barrels and goat tying. Chris Murphy, superintendent of the new event, said she is currently planning on two age divisions, youth and open, but can adjust divisions based on entries.

The popular Junior Livestock Auction will remain on Friday night of the fair beginning at 7 p.m.
