Head Coach
Mustangs hosted Gilpin County for our opening home game Thursday night. West Grand won the game 42-19. It was a great game for us to be able to utilize our entire bench as well as practice a few different looks on defense. We continue to improve with our court vision and our offensive sets.
The Mustangs showed even scoring throughout all of the quarters which is important to be able to maintain an offense the entire game. Senior, Anna Douglass, and junior, Emma DeSanti, continue to lead the Mustangs in the box score. They continue to be great leaders on and off the court. With as young a team as we are, leadership and building others up is going to be key in our success this season.
These young women come to practice ready to learn each day and that is what it is going to take to be able to compete in our league. I’m looking forward to our competition the next several weeks before break to help prepare us for league opponents in January. Go Mustangs!
