MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO TRESPASS TO MOTOR VEHICLES IN GRANBY, HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS, AND KREMMLING

Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado – Today, James Russell entered a guilty plea to three counts of First Degree Criminal Trespass, all class five felonies in Grand County District Court.

Under the plea agreement, the defendant will face up to nine years in prison and agreed to consecutive sentencing. District Court Judge Mary C. Hoak will sentence the defendant on May 9th 2019 at 10:30AM. In the fall of 2018, Mr. Russell trespassed into dozens of cars in Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs and Kremmling.

The investigation was conducted by the Kremmling Police Department, Grand County Sheriff’s Office and Granby Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Kathryn Dowdell.
