I have been a business owner for nearly 30 years, I sponsor many local events such as Kremmling Days and the Demolition Derby, and donate to many local entities. I have previously served on multiple committees such as the recent storage and aesthetics committee, and the off highway vehicle ordinance committee. I currently sit on the HTA (Headwaters Trails Alliance) board, and formerly served as a Trustee on the Kremmling Town Board. I continue to be actively involved in the creation and maintenance of local area trails. Additionally, I am a member of the Grand County Search and Rescue Advanced Backcountry Team. Kremmling is not just an awesome community to raise my family but it’s my home. I care deeply about its viability and direction moving forward.

I have been involved in many things in my 30 years in Kremmling. I served on the Middle Park Fair Board as the rodeo superintendent for 20 years, I am on the Sanitation Board, and have been involved with both the Middle Park Stockgrowers Association and the Middle Park Farm Bureau. I have also been involved with our local FFA Chapter. I help out behind the scenes with a lot of activities in and around Kremmling. If there is a need for equipment or supplies or labor for activities such as Kremmling Days or the numerous fund raising events, I can and do help.

Although small, my family and I attend and support the various events throughout the town as well as shop local.

Most of my volunteering has been related to our kids and their activities. In the past, I have helped out in the their classrooms, chaperoned trips, chaperoned activities at the school as well as cooked food for fundraisers and teacher conferences. They are also involved with 4-H where I have helped with BBQ’s, highway clean-ups, and fair concessions. I have tremendous respect for the residents of Kremmling who you continuously see helping at events throughout the town and now that our kids are getting older my goal is to volunteer more widely within the community.

As a personal accomplishment for me that also benefits the Town of Kremmling, I have donated cars to the fire station for their practice for 10 years.

I have also hauled scrap metal since 2002 – that cleans up our Town. I have also volunteered my time at town clean-up and fishing contest. I donate money and goods for the Christmas program, West Grand Wishes ‘operated by Todd Willson. I have also helped people get into town safely who have had trouble on Highway 9 and 40. I have even hauled they broke down cars free of charge into Kremmling. I tell them that’s what we do in Kremmling, help those in real need. That’s what I do to make a difference.

What positive contributions have you made to Kremmling? Please address boards you have served on, volunteer activities, promotional events you may help with, etc.?

My contributions to our community would include sitting on our town council and rec sports.

I’ve enjoyed coaching youth football, basketball, and baseball. For those of you who don’t know coaching in a small community like ours a coach is more than a coach. They maintain the area of play, schedule games, find refs, organize concessions, and the list goes on. I have spent hundreds of hours maintaining our baseball fields so our youth teams and adult softball teams had a safe field to play on. I am currently on a citizen committee to redesign our Red Mountain Sports Complex.

In our community most if not all events require volunteers. I would like to thank everyone who has volunteered their time and would like to leave you with a question. How have you done your part?

Through Rotary, I have volunteered at many of the events, including meet the candidates, community dinners, and working concessions, in which we use the proceeds to give back to the community. I was on the Kremmling Chamber Board for 3 years, also serving as treasurer. During my term I volunteered at Kremmling Days. The last two years I have also served as a judge at the Middle Park Fair, and I am also a current town trustee.

I have served on the Kremmling Town Board for six years. Along with the other board members, we have successfully worked on several large projects, such as finish the water line project in Kremmling Country, finding a new town manager, and continue paving other roads around town. We also worked to improve Doc Ceriani Park, and the roof at the ice rink. We continue to plan for future projects as well. I’ve also served on other boards for many years including the Mountain Valley Christian Academy school board. As well, I own a couple businesses that continue to contribute and offer services to the community.

What positive contributions have you made to Kremmling? Please address boards you have served on, volunteer activities, promotional events you may help with, etc.?

Most of my contributions I have made to Kremmling are through work related events. I have been a teacher/ coach for over 30 years in the town of Kremmling. As anyone who serves in the education industry knows, we don’t get into this profession for the money. A great majority of my extra time through the years has been spent coaching and mentoring the youth of Kremmling. I am pleased to have been supportive of the students and families of West Grand, getting to be a part of several generations of families.

I have also served on a recreation committee and also coached recreation sports, baseball, basketball, and football. I currently run a golf tournament, (Lazy Shamrock) for the school to raise money. The money is spent on a wide range of things for students. Every summer, I take the student-athletes of Kremmling to camps all around the state. I am committed to the families of our town and want to see our town flourish for years and generations to come.

What positive contributions have you made to Kremmling? Please address boards you have served on, volunteer activities, promotional events you may help with, etc.?

I’m raising a family in Kremmling so I’m involved in and support a pretty wide range of activities. I have been a beef superintendent at the fair and helped with the ranch rodeo for the past 10 years. I think Kremmling Days and the Middle Park Fair and Rodeo are very important to our community. We love the Demolition Derby and everything it brings to town. My wife, Sara, is on the Education Foundation. My kids are already showing their dogs, horses and sheep at fair. They have been in dance, cheerleading, the junior rodeo, and Learn to Skate. We hunt and fish within a few miles of town. I have a lot to benefit from all of the fun things we have to do in Kremmling and always help when I can.

When I first came to Kremmling in 1994 I worked with Father John to do maintenance on St Peter’s Church & its rectory. We also helped many residents with moving, maintenance/construction, food, and whatever they needed.

In 2002 I was elected mayor of Kremmling. Working with the managers, the Board of Trustees and others, over the past 16 years,, we have accomplished the following;

• Complete revamping of the water system (we no longer have water restrictions or black water)
• New playground equipment in the kiddie park and Ceriani Park, and the new hockey rink at the Red Mountain Complex
• Collaborating with the chamber, businesses, and citizens we built a visitor center and chamber building with a stage in the Town Square

• The town has annexed lands into our boundaries for the Kremmling Mercantile and the K-8 school
