Final question – To wrap up the series, what makes you the best candidate? Why should Kremmling residents vote for you?

Meet the candidates for Kremmling Town Council

Erik C. Woog

I hope the answers to the previous week’s questions serve as somewhat of an answer to this question. I would add that I am heavily invested in the community, both literally and figuratively. I have previous experience and a strong understanding of what it’s going to take to solve current problems, coupled with a proven history of being able to effectively move things forward. Kremmling needs a board of hyper involved, committed individuals willing to effectively work together and create proper lasting solutions for issues we are facing. There are a multitude of issues requiring immediate actions. I for one am ready to roll my sleeves up and get to work!

Voters should know by now that I am not running because I have an agenda or a desire to make Kremmling something it isn’t. I understand how elected boards work. I have experience with budgeting. I can negotiate solutions and I can make decisions based on reality. One other thing; I’m not going anywhere.

I’m going to live here with any decisions I may be a part of. My family and I own a working cattle ranch and I have a lifetime of business investments here in the community. I want to help Kremmling and all of its citizwns be successful and able to enjoy our great town.

I’m passionate about this town and will educate myself on the issues that arise. I want to work as a team with the fellow board members in hopes to doing what is best for the town.

I’m for new business and growth, however, I want Kremmling to keep it’s small town feel. Last but not least, I will listen to thoughts and concerns of residents and business owners because they are who I will be representing.

Kremmling residents should vote for me because I am looking to the future and don’t want to live in the past. I have no fear of what people say about me. I know I have made mistakes in the past, but I have paid dearly for those. I have learned that you can overcome what has been a sore subject for some people. I’m not going to harp on my past, it’s over.

I am working to be the best person I can. I’m ready to prove that with hard work and determination things can change. I’m ready to help people and change the future of Kremmling. This is a no-brainer for why I’m running for office.

Let’s not focus on the past, it can’t be changed. The focus is on what is front of us now. I’m proof change can be in our grasp with hard work. I have made mistakes as we all do when growing up. I have learned to think before I act.

I’m not afraid to get all the facts before I form my opinion. Once I get the facts, I will work on others’ behalf. It’s not about the votes. It’s about picking the right person for the job and who will work for you and be ready to listen to your concerns. I will do that. Thanks for this opportunity.

I don’t believe that there is a best candidate. I believe that a good board would include members who are committed to making our community the BEST it can be with no personal gain.

I would like to thank you for considering voting for me. With your vote you can count on a common sense approach to every decision that is presented.

I don’t know if I am the best candidate or not, that is up to the people of Kremmling to decide. If I am elected I will make sure to be present at the meetings, be available to listen to concerned citizens, and look at all sides of a situation when making decisions to find the best solution for the town.

As a husband and a father of 3 boys, a business owner, ranch hand, and a Town trustee for 6 years. I think I can see all sides of the opportunity brought to the board. And think I can help chose what will be the best interest of the people and businesses of Kremmling. I enjoy seeing and helping kremmling improve and grow stronger.

I would like to bring fresh ideas to the town of Kremmling and I have no hidden agenda for running.

I like to listen to the people of Kremmling and bring their ideas to the table. My family and I are committed to the community and seeing it be the best it can be and therefore will give 100% effort to this role if given the chance.

Well to start with, I’ve already been going to the Kremmling Town Council meetings on a regular basis for the last two years. Before that, I had attended the meetings several times a year since living in Kremmling for the last 11 years. I have watched and heard all kind of things, and I can’t think of a time when the board asked to relook at that situation for an up and coming meeting or look at the codes or town ordinances. For instance, snow removal. The Town of Kremmling has a snow removal ordinance for shoveling sidewalks and yet the public works department piles the snow on our sidewalks which freezes and thaws and keeps damaging the curb and gutters and sidewalks. The Town of Kremmling does not have the funds to repair or replace them. The list could go on and on. Look, I just want to give back to our community. I have the time and willingness and love for our community. Also even if I’m not elected to the Kremmling Board of Directors, I’m still going to be at these meetings. I’m here and here to stay. Mayor Candidates Grover Pryor I have young kids that are my family’s 5th generation in Kremmling. I own a house in Kremmling. I’m invested in Kremmling’s future in many ways. The biggest investment is by raising kids here and I have high expectations for the return on that investment. This is and has always been my hometown. Also, we could look into making Kremmling Days a national holiday, I don’t know what that entails, but we could look into it. Thomas Clark Why I am the best candidate for mayor: My experience, my leadership abilities, our past accomplishments, and the trust and respect that I have earned with my elected official colleagues and their staff.

The last 16 years I have been involved with local, regional, state, and federal government agencies as well as our Federal and State Legislators.

We have fixed the water system so that there are no more watering restrictions or black water.

We have better traffic control, we have been working on fixing our roads and surface drainage.

We have improved our parks and recreational amenities and we have encouraged Business Development.

My greatest asset is having the time (semi-retired) and willingness to attend meetings during the day when most people are working there full-time job. This allows me to participate in these meetings which keeps us up-to-date and involved and allows me to bring resources to improve Kremmling.

I hold several prominent titles, Secretary-Treasurer of the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments which includes the five counties of Jackson, Grand, Summit, Eagle and Pitkin as well as the cities of Steamboat Springs, Glenwood Springs and Carbondale, Chair of the Economic Development District (Kremmling has had eight years of economic growth), Chair of the Regional Transportation Coordinating Council (mountain ride.org), Vice-chair of the Water Quality and Quantity committee (legislative advocate for water issues, Federal and State).

If I am reelected I will continue to work on all the issues, concerns, and problems to continue to improve Kremmling as we have done in the past. Thank you for your continuing support and please remember to vote
