Mustangs face the Tigers in two action packed games

The Mustangs played another good week this week facing the Tigers. The Mustangs JV team traveled over to Hayden on Monday to play them and it was a heck of a game. Unfortunately, the Mustangs came up just a little short. The final score was 54 to 42. But the Mustangs were scheduled to face the Tigers again. At the end of the JV game Coach Petersen said, “ It was a fun exciting high scoring game. Unfortunately we came out on the wrong end. The good news is we have plenty of things to improve upon. Mustangs Varsity laid down another beating. The Tigers came to Kremmling on Friday the 29th. The final score was 50 to 0. The mustangs had an astounding 539 total yard on offense. Austin Stauffer got into the backfield to block a punt, then picked the ball up and ran for a 35 yard touchdown. Hugh Wheatley had may good runs and two touchdowns. Then l

Luis Dominguez Scored an 82 yard touchdown with Wheatley on the two pointer. That put the Mustangs at 44 to 0 and it was a running clock with five minutes left in the second quarter. Later in the fourth quarter the JV team was tearing it up and freshman Rene Dominguez got a twenty yard run for another touchdown. That put the final score at 50 to 0 Mustangs steal another victory. At the end of the game Coach Brown said,”We ran the ball very good. We ran over 500 yards we still have thing to work on but Luis Dominguez showed that he is a pretty good backup quarterback.
