Knight. The first score in 11 seconds resulted in a 52-2 win by the Mustangs
over Pikes Peak.

The Mustangs rocked the week with two more wins. On Monday, September 18, the JV team went over to Soroco and faced the Rams. The score was 24 to 12. Jakob Buller (#9) did a good job running the ball and had a very good passing game. Blocking for Buller was Wade Jansen. Jansen is one of the smaller kids on the team but he played a big role and never had an excuse for messing up. Varsity went up against Pikes Peak Christian. Last year the Mustangs faced Pikes Peak but they lost. This year they took it all back. The final score was 52 to 2. The only time that Pikes Peak scored was when the Mustangs got a safety. During the game Hugh Wheatley ran the opening kickoff for an 85 yard touchdown. He was also the most explosive player and got a total of 3 touchdowns. Buller handled all nine of the kickoffs on friday. He also ran the JV offense in the second half. At the end of the game Coach Brown said, “We executed very well and it shows we have some speed and we have two offensive guards that can run and pull good. Defense played very well there were no first downs and they only got 20 yards.”
