Republican Assembly nominates incumbents for county election

At the Republican Assembly, candidates for the Grand County elected positions were nominated. The incumbents for each position chose to run again and are currently unopposed within the Republican Party.

Grand County Republican Chairman is Carl Wood and over 80 delegates from the 12 precincts attended the Assembly held on Sunday, March 11 in Granby at the Middle Park High School.

Candidates are pictured are (L to R) Grand County Assessor Warren Ward, Grand County Treasurer Christina Whitmer, Grand County District 3 Commissioner Kristen Manguso, Grand County Sheriff Brett Schroetlin, Grand County Coroner Brenda Bock, Grand County Clerk and Recorder Sara Rosene, and Grand County Assessor Tom Weydert.

There are approximately 11,500 voters in the county and 40% are Republican, 40% unaffiliated, and 20% Democrat.
