Kremmling’s summer schedule mosquito spray on June 16 & tax revenue is up

by Mark Campbell, Town Manager

As summer time draws near, I would like to highlight the things that are happening in Kremmling this summer.

Kremmling Days is scheduled the weekend of June 19-21 and will have all the usual events and things happening, Fireman’s BBQ, Kids Games, Cliff Golf, Live Music and Vendors. The Mud Shuffle shall be happening at the Fairground on June 20.

July 4 will bring the “Fire Up The Cliffs” fireworks display and I believe other events are planned for that day in the Town Park so stay posted. The fireworks display will start just after dusk.

The Culpepper Merriweather Circus shall be in town at the County Fairgrounds on July 16. They were here two years ago and advance tickets will be available at Kremmling Days and the July 4th celebration as well as from the Kremmling Chamber of Commerce.

The third annual Planes, Trains and Automobiles shall be happening at the Town Square on July 18. Middle Park Fair and Rodeo, August 1-9 and the Demolition Derby is set for August 14. I hope to see you all at these events.

The coming of these events mean, that the town will be spraying for mosquitos prior to Kremmling Days, July 4, and the Middle Park Fair and Rodeo. The first spraying for mosquitoes is tentatively set for Tuesday June 16, with two bad weather condition days for the following Wednesday and Thursday (June 17 and 18). Weather conditions that do not bode well for spraying are rain, thunderstorms and winds exceeding 10 miles per hour.

The Ceriani Park Playground is now in place and kids are well enjoying it.

The EV charging station is in place and has been added to a few websites to advertise.

The Town has received four-month’s worth of revenue from sales tax; and in each case we have beat the preceding year for that month. Once again, a big thank you to all the businesses in Town and to the residents and visitors who shop local.
