Monday’s maelstrom

An accident 20 miles west of Kremmling at mile marker 165, resulted in a logging truck overturning on Monday at 9:45 a.m. The driver Randy Bowen from Parachute took the corner too fast and rolled the truck a quarter turn to land on its passenger side. Logs were strewn across the shoulder of the road. The trailer blocked the east bound lane and the truck was off the road. The logs were intended for Confluence Energy in Kremmling. The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

In an unrelated incident later in the day, emergency crews responded to Confluence Energy in Kremmling for a truck driver who was dropping his load of pellets onto a flat bed and experienced a medical condition. He was later transported to Denver from Kremmling by a Medical Flight Helicopter.
