
This year’s West Grand High School play will be “The Magical Lamp of Aladdin”, a classic tale that has been made into several theatric versions and a Disney movie.
This version of the story written by Tim Kelly, presents the traditional story featuring Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and her parents (the Sultan and his wife), the evil magician and his sister along with several genies and some other town folks including a fire breathing dragon, a very high-spirited monkey and a middle eastern redneck. This show will be fun for all ages and tells a tale in which Good and Love triumphs over evil and greed.
The cast includes Angel Castillo as Aladdin, Maya Ramirez as Jasmine, Jon Belcher as the evil magician, Iliana Castillo as Halima (the magician’s sister), Jayden Edson as the Sultan, and Isabella

“The Magical Lamp of Aladdin” started rehearsing in January and will be presented in the West Grand High School Auditorium at 7:00 pm on March 5 & 6, 2018.
