West Grand senior Emma Desanti was selected by the Colorado Coaches of Girls’ Sports to play in the 2019 2A All-State volleyball game this weekend. Emma is one of just 90 female senior athletes in the State to receive this honor.

“She’s an outstanding kid,” said West Grand’s head volleyball coach Scott Terryberry. “She’s a fantastic athlete, for one, and one of those kids that comes and works hard every day. She loves playing volleyball, is real coachable and
a simple joy to be around.”

He continued, “She has all the intangibles.” He noted throughout the season, it was not uncommon to hear from officials and opposing coaches about her positive attitude and “how fun she was to watch as she played.”

Emma will practice with her All-State teammates Saturday, attend the awards banquet Saturday evening, and play in 2A All-State game Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Broomfield High School.

Emma has committed to play volleyball for Black Hills State University next fall, and will be signing her official acceptance letter next Tuesday, Nov. 26 in the company of Coach Terryberry.
