Business of the month

by Executive Director, Kremmling Area Chamber of Commerce

I had the great pleasure of driving out to Williams Fork Lodging to interview Dale for our November 2019 Business Of The Month. Good grief, if you all have never gone out to see this place, I strongly urge you to do so. The beauty and hospitality at Williams Fork Lodging is incredible. When I first arrived Dale took me on a tour of one of the guest houses. The decor was perfect! Exactly what you would want for a mountain get-away. If you are a hunter, outdoorsman or just looking to get away with friends or family, Williams Fork Lodging is the place to be.

While I was interviewing Dale, it was clear her patrons adored her. I was able to experience her interacting with her guests. The ones who were staying there had been repeat guests for roughly the last ten years. This just goes to show you that Williams Fork Lodging takes care of their guests. Dale has been able to watch many of her guest families grow over the years, that is pretty cool if you ask me. Also, Williams Fork Lodging is a dog-friendly lodging establishment.

When I asked Dale how long she has been doing business in the area she told me they bought their property in 2003. In 2005 Dale and Greg decided to look into VRBO and begin the lodging business. In 2009 the third room was added and in 2016 the Cabin was built.

Williams Fork Lodging not only has some of the best lodging and views in the county but they also offer a variety of other things as well. Williams Fork Lodging sits on 80 acres. On those 80 acres are bike trails, cross country skiing and snowshoeing and hiking trails. Also on this property are day-use campers/glampers. Each Camper is themed. The first is the Dale Evans camper, it is the owner’s namesake. The second camper is 1969 themed and the last camper is Big Foot themed.

There is no question in my mind why Williams Fork Lodging has regular repeat guests from Pennsylvania, North Dakota, Minnesota and of course Colorado. It is the perfect place to get away and relax. The remoteness and clear dark skies allow you to see the Milky Way while soaking in the hot tub.
When I asked Dale what her favorite thing about doing business in this area is, she said ” The people, they are all so easy to please. It has everything, solitude, sports, still close enough to Denver but far enough away it allows for the solitude. There is no bad view in Grand County.”

If you are looking to find Dale when she is not working you can find her gardening and sustaining the life that she does not have to vacation from. She enjoys Devils Thumb Zip lining and eating at Deans Public House.

On behalf of the Kremmling Area Chamber of Commerce, we would like to thank you for being an outstanding business and offering exceptional service to your guests!!
