Robbie Oleson of Gypsum, CO snagged this 36 inch 40 pound Lake Trout on Williams Fork Reservoir on St. Patrick’s Day. Robbie reports that he used a block 2 gig with sucker meat to land the monster. He also says that he was well-taught by his cousin Phillip Rivera Jr and dedicated his catch to his loving grandpa.
The Mackinaw was later released.
