BLM seeks comment on 18 commercial recreation permits for services on the Colorado River in Grand and Eagle counties

The Bureau of Land Management’s Kremmling Field Office is seeking public comment on 18 commercial special recreation permit applications for the Upper Colorado River corridor.

Each year, the BLM issues commercial SRPs for recreation businesses to provide specific services to the public on BLM lands and to ensure a fair return to the public for commercial use of public lands.

To help with its evaluation of these permit applications, the BLM is seeking public comment regarding each applicant’s safety history, conflicts that have been associated with the applicants or their employees while operating on public lands, or any other information that would be useful to the agency as it considers the applications.

This year the BLM is evaluating applications for two new permits and 16 permit renewals. A list of applicants is available at To provide comment on the applications, contact Shane Dittlinger at the Kremmling Field Office, or (970) 724-3000. Comments need to be received by March 31, 2016.

Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, you should be aware that your entire comment—including your personal identifying information—may be made publicly available at any time. While you can ask us in your comment to withhold your personal identifying information from public review, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
