“I like to look at different tax strategies to save people money, ” said Grace Bohall, Certfied Public Accountant (CPA). “I give them the best tax situation I possibly can. It is like a puzzle.”

For Grace, tax preparation is exciting, and she enjoys the challenge of meeting the needs of her clientele. Grace always looks at the best possible scenario for her clients over an extended time. She can easily do this for those with complex personal taxes, small business or larger business.

As a CPA for the firm DAPCPA Pope and Associates, Grace offers extensive services to her clients including bookkeeping, payroll services, tax preparation, and review services and can now offer these services in Kremmling at the newly opened satellite office on the Town Square. She balances a busy office with ease and confidence and makes her office hours flexible to accommodate her client’s schedules.

A graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University in South Dakota, Grace is an accounting major and a math minor. She became a CPA two years ago, but readily studies her trade to continually increase her knowledge.

“I have always liked numbers, bookkeeping and enjoy the challenge of tax preparation,” Grace manages to convey her passion without sounding geeky.

“I am always learning new things to help my clients and will take the time to research if necessary.”

Her CPA certification requires 80 hours of continued training every two years, but her accounting firm DAPCPA Pope and Associates also requires that she attend 3 days of additional training in the Cheyenne, WY home office.

The office in Cheyenne is where Grace began with DAPCPA Pope and Associates.

Grace met her husband Augi Bohall while he was attending the Mitchell Technical Institute in South Dakota. She knew she wanted to be able to spend more time with him over the summer and had discovered DAPCPA Pope and Associates in Winter Park. The accounting firm did not have anything available in their Winter Park office, but did have an internship in Cheyenne – which was closer to Kremmling than South Dakota was.

The rest is history. Grace successfully completed the summer internship, graduated from college on May 5, 2012 and married Augi the same day. The couple began their life in Kremmling where Augi continued his work for Bohall Construction, his family’s business.

Grace was later hired by DAPCPA Pope and Associates in Winter Park. She admits she was persistent in her pursuit of her dream position with DAPCPA Pope and Associates and that her tenaciousness was rewarded. She is now on track for a partnership with the firm.

Grace’s quiet, yet, determined nature serves her well, and with her bookkeeping expertise, Grace is always a welcome addition to any organization. She is a board member for the Kremmling Area Chamber of Commerce and now serves as the treasurer. Grace is also an active member of the Kremmling Rotary; a group that focuses its attention on service and philanthropic fundraising.

Grace and Augi enjoy hunting and fishing. Fishing has even taken them to the ocean. “We are Florida beach fans,” Grace recounts about her and Augi’s shared delight in ocean fishing. To quote Augi, she says, “You never know what is coming out,” referring to the ability to catch anything in the ocean.

For Grace, whose passion is tax preparation and bookkeeping, this unexpected thrill is a novelty.
